また当時はベルトがない時代では、サスペンダーは着飾る上で欠かせないもので、まだベルトループそのものが存在しないため、ウエストバンドにボタンがありそれにサスペンダーを着けて生活をしていた。

職人による一点ずつ丁寧に作る伝統から、手の技が無くとも大量生産が可能なものづくりの体制になってゆく。経済の下支えをしている重労働者が着るワークウェアがその時代背景を物語る。直線的な縫製、平面的なパターンによる簡易化。

元々の平面的な簡素なつくりの構造を、人体工学の観点からより立体的に動きやすい構造へ変更。
